Terms of Service
Last updated 7 July 2026
The short version
getrekey.com is an informational site and a waitlist for a browser extension that's still in development. Nothing is being sold or delivered yet. Anything we describe about features, pricing, or timing is our current intention, not a promise. Joining the waitlist just means we may email you.
These Terms govern your use of getrekey.com (the "Site") and the Rekey waitlist. By using the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. What the Site is today
The Site presents information about Rekey, a password manager, in development, whose planned feature is to help you rotate breached passwords. It also lets you join a waitlist. No product, subscription, or service is currently offered, sold, or delivered through the Site.
2. Forward-looking statements are not promises
Descriptions of features, capabilities, pricing (including any "early access", "founding", or "first year free" offers), and timelines are current intentions and may change or not happen at all. We may modify, delay, or decide not to launch the product. Nothing on the Site is a binding offer or a guarantee of any product, price, or date.
3. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist does not create an account, a contract, or any entitlement to the product. It means you've asked us to contact you about early access and launch. You can leave at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email. How we handle your email is covered in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- attack, probe, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Site or its infrastructure;
- submit anyone else's personal information, or false or spam submissions;
- copy, scrape, or misuse the Site's content or branding beyond normal personal use;
- use the Site for anything unlawful.
5. Intellectual property
The Site's content, design, and the Rekey name and branding belong to us. When we release Rekey's source code, it will be governed by its own open-source license, which will control over these Terms for that code.
6. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party resources (for example, a breach-checking tool). We don't control and aren't responsible for those sites; visiting them is at your own discretion.
7. No warranty
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information on it is complete or current.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetRekey will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Because the Site is informational and free to use, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us to use it, which is nothing.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we'll change the date above, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify waitlist members.
10. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Questions? Reach us through getrekey.com. Rekey is operated by GetRekey.
These are waitlist-stage terms. Product terms (an EULA covering the extension, subscriptions, and password handling) will be added, and reviewed by a legal professional, before launch.
